| A majority of viral gastroenteritis is caused by the Norovirus (NV). PCR is usually used as a screening test for the NV. We have designed a new method for detecting anti-NV IgA from fecal samples by ELISA, fixed with the expressed NV protein as an antigen. On comparison between our new method and PCR, although there are differences in the results, quality of samples which has relation for time course of antibody appearance. However, for detection of NV, PCR and IgA-ELISA each have effective terms in time couse of NV infection status in patients. |
